Land Clearing in Beebe, AR

Beebe is a straight shot east on Highway 64 from Vilonia, which makes it one of the easier areas for us to get to.

Beebe sits in White County on the US 67/167 corridor with ASU-Beebe in the city, and it has picked up growth from the same pressure pushing out of the Little Rock area that has changed Cabot and Vilonia. The surrounding country is a mix of farmland, pasture, wooded tracts, and rural residential acreage.
Because Highway 64 runs directly between us and Beebe, this is close to a local job for us. That matters more than it sounds, because travel is part of what a contractor is pricing whether it is itemized or not, and it is also what determines whether somebody can come look at your property this week or next.
The work here looks much like the rest of our area. Fence rows and pasture edges that have grown in. Wooded acreage where the understory has thickened to the point of being impassable. Building sites that need to be cleared, accessed, and leveled. Driveways that have rutted or washed and need to be rebuilt properly rather than topped up again.
The ground in this area is flatter than the country north of Vilonia, which means drainage is the recurring theme. Flat ground does not drain itself. Water stands unless something is shaped to move it, and standing water is what turns a driveway base soft and a pad into a problem. When we look at dirt work around Beebe we are paying close attention to where water currently sits and where it needs to end up.
Vegetation is standard for the region: cedar, privet, briar, honeysuckle, and volunteer hardwood through the understory. Almost all of it sits comfortably within what our day-rate mulching covers, which is light to moderate density with trees roughly six inches and under.
New construction brings its own sequence around here. A rural lot generally needs clearing before anything can be staked, then an access route that will survive concrete trucks and material deliveries, then a pad that is level and shedding water before a slab goes down. Doing those in the right order saves money, because a driveway built after the heavy traffic has already chewed through it is a driveway you are paying for twice.
We also see a fair amount of drainage work in this area for the same reason the driveways struggle. Ditches that have filled in, culverts that were undersized when they went in or have silted up since, and low spots that hold water long after everything around them has dried out. Those are solvable, and they are usually solved with shaping and a properly placed structure rather than with more material on top.
