Land Clearing in Morrilton, AR
Home › Areas We Service › Morrilton
Morrilton is west of us on I-40, and the country around it gives us some of the more varied ground we work.

Morrilton is the Conway County seat, sitting between I-40 and the Arkansas River with Petit Jean Mountain just to the southwest. That combination produces more variety in terrain than most of our service area, and terrain is the thing that changes a land job most.
Down in the river bottoms the ground is flat and the soil is heavy, which means drainage governs everything. Water stands rather than running off, and dirt work in the bottoms is very sensitive to timing. Working that ground wet is slow, messy, and produces a worse finished result, so scheduling around conditions is part of doing the job properly rather than an excuse.
Moving away from the river it rises and rolls, and up toward Petit Jean it gets genuinely steep in places with rock close to or at the surface. Slope changes the calculation on clearing. Erosion becomes a real consideration, and leaving a mulch layer over the surface rather than stripping to bare dirt is often the better choice specifically because it holds soil through the next heavy rain. Access also becomes a bigger factor, because getting equipment safely onto and off sloped ground is part of the job rather than an afterthought.
Rock matters here too. Digging in rock is not the same work as digging in loam, and it changes both the machine and the number. It is one of several reasons we look at a property before quoting instead of pricing off acreage and a phone description.
The work itself is familiar: clearing overgrown acreage, opening fence rows and access, building and repairing gravel driveways, pads for houses and shops, ponds, and general dozer work. Driveways on sloped ground around here take a particular beating, because water running down the length of a drive rather than off the side of it will relocate the rock to the bottom of the hill given a season or two.
Morrilton is part of our regular service area, and we're happy to work with property owners in the community to help bring their projects to life.
